Project Objective: The goal of this project was to design a sneaker magazine that embodies strong typographic quality, with a clear hierarchy and well-structured layout. The magazine needed to reflect the aesthetics and interests of urban culture, seamlessly blending elements of fashion, sneakers, and entertainment. The objective was to create a visually compelling publication that resonates with a style-savvy audience and showcases the intersection of sneaker culture, street fashion, and pop entertainment.
Project ResultsI successfully designed a 16-page fashion and sneaker magazine called “The Sneaker Reporter.” To capture the attention of urban fashion enthusiasts, I utilized a bold design approach with a diverse color palette and striking typography. Each page was carefully laid out to emphasize clarity and visual hierarchy, ensuring that content flows effortlessly and guides the reader's eye through the magazine.
I selected the most popular sneaker styles and paired them with profiles of relevant entertainers to connect the fashion narrative with current culture. This choice helped to keep the magazine fresh and aligned with what’s trending in urban style. Additionally, I designed multiple promotional ads within the magazine for various clothing brands I created, presenting them as if they were established fashion labels. This allowed me to showcase my ability to merge editorial design with effective brand storytelling, creating a cohesive look that feels authentic to the culture.
The end result is a vibrant, visually engaging publication that effectively combines fashion, sneaker culture, and entertainment. The magazine’s clean layout, strong typography, and dynamic visuals come together to capture the essence of urban culture, making it a standout piece for a fashion-forward audience
